Experience Christmas at Hope

Join us for a heartwarming celebration of light, love, and tradition at our Lucia Festival! This family-friendly event invites everyone to experience the beauty of the Lucia story and Scandinavian Christmas customs.

Lucia Event

December 14th, 4:30pm 

Free Admission (limited availability)

The Timeline:

4:00pm- Children who wish to be in the pageant arrive to pick out costumes and decorate Christmas while we wait for the program to begin. (Ages 2-12 years old)

 

4:30pm- Our program begins with the story of Lucia, the bringer of light, accompanied with beautiful Christas music. The celebration continues with the traditional Lucia pageant, where children don crowns of candles and sing Swedish carols.

5:15pm- Following the program we will share together a Swedish meal of Swedish Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, rice pudding, Smoked Salmon, cardamom coffee bread, potato sausage and more! 

FAQ:

- Tickets are free this year (although donations at the event are welcome), but you must sign up to reserve your spot ahead of tie so we know how much food to make.

- There is no preordering of food or "Lucia market" this year
